The Second Amendment to the United States Constitution:
"A well-regulated Militia being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms shall not be infringed."

Granted, in a world Free of Evil the right to bear arms would be a superfluous debate. One needs only to pick up a newspaper, watch a T.V. newscast, listen to radio news, or get a CNN "breaking news" flash on his computer to realize we do not live in a world free of evil. Mankind has not and will not advance to such a plane of righteousness as to usher in a society free of evil; therefore, the debate of the people’s right to bear arms is not superfluous -- it is paramount!

Have we as a nation become so pious as to view the founding fathers of this Great Nation as a pack of old fogies without any vision of the future?… old people living in old times?…not up to date with current events?  Sounds like a teenager’s view of their parents doesn’t it?  In fact this is the position of those who would toss out the Second Amendment and remove the people’s right to bear arms.

In reading the second amendment it is clear our founding fathers felt it necessary for the "people" to be a Militia to protect the freedom of this free state.  Have times really changed this concept?  True we have tamed the once wild nation who’s enemies came charging wearing Red Coats and riding horses, but have we made this nation free from attack and invasion?   One only needs to recall the events September 11, 2001 to answer this with a loud and resounding .. NO!   Maybe our Founding Fathers were not old fogies with no vision of the future.  Maybe the "people" still need to be an armed militia to protect the freedom of this free state.

With armed citizens of this Great Nation, what country would dare put their troops on the soil of our Beautiful Sea to Shinning Sea?  Even if an army arose capable of defeating the standing army of the United States they would never defeat our Militia – the armed "people" of this Great Nation. The citizen’s Right to Bear Arms is "The Guarantee" of freedom the wise and visionary Founding Fathers wrote into our Constitution. Think twice.. no, ten times.. no, 100 times, before you allow pious liberal thinking to convince you the drafters, designers, and Founding Fathers of this great country were just old fogies with no vision of the future.  Our Constitution is written to be a living light of freedom for a free people… don’t you dare touch it!  To do so would make a mockery of the Founding Fathers and an abomination of the deaths of all those who have died defending the rights of freedom.
